I read the Morning Musing today and its uncanny how you know when I do things.

I started my Friday car cleaning in the fall but when the cold weather kicked in, I said this can wait til spring! Every Friday, I’d take my older DD to school, run errands, fuel up, and run through the car wash. The dealership where we bought our van also has its own fuel station, car wash bays, and FREE vacuums!. Too convenient not to do all those at the same place!

Yesterday was the first nice day we’ve had this winter. It was almost 70 degrees, Kentucky weather is most unpredictable! So I took my DDs to school, paid some bills, fueled up, and went through the car wash. While waiting for the brushes to get off the kitty paw prints, mud, rain, and general winter dirtiness, I whipped out the FL Duster I keep in the van and swiped the dashboard and radio areas.

When the wash was finished, I pulled up to vacuum station. I emptied out the two duct tape decorated dishwashing pod containers I keep for trash (NO FOOD). Then I used the Rubba Scrubba to sweep out the bigger mess along the doors and set to work with the vacuum. Oh, how the dried muddy footprints, straw(?!) and small gravel had been plaguing me! It took almost three rounds of vacuuming to get everything. I even turned the van around to get the trunk! LOL

Now my mama ride is ready to go another round of winter weather, and it feels good to be in a clean vehicle!

I would have used a Purple Rag on the windows but I forgot to replace them the last time I took dirty ones out! Adding that to my task list!

FlyLady here: Our basic weekly plan keeps us on track even if we miss a week! I love that she has two small trash cans in her van. I have a trash bag in my car too and I love covering things with duct tape!
