Dear Flylady,

I have been a flybaby on and off through the years and I have learned a lot from you.

I recently discovered that it was time for another change, a fix.  You know when something you have been doing just doesn’t seem to be working anymore?

Our family has grown so much! We have an additional person living with us and just the fact that my sons are now young men and my daughter is a teenager.  Then we have all these pets too! It is much harder to keep food in the house and keep up with laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher and so on.  I admit that I get frustrated at times, but I remember what you tell us. Housework done imperfectly still blesses the family.

A recent lightbulb moment for me was the food shopping and spending.  I had been doing wholesale food shopping to feed this family and keep my perpetual pantry stocked.  But somehow it was not working.  I was spending too much and stressing out every time I went shopping.  And I knew my large kitchen was really overstocked!

I knew it was time to stop!  I’m back to shopping at the dollar store for small individual bottles of cleaner, laundry detergent, and spices etc. And back to the supermarket and local stores for food that we only need.  If the family eats something and there is no more left until my next shopping day, they can deal with it! The truth of the matter is that they eat too much! Lol
