Dear FlyLady,

I don’t have a real place for a launching pad in my home. But I do have a ‘pad system’.

My night before routine includes the entire day. I put things that need to go with me in a bag that I hang by my back door. My purse location also includes mail that goes out. Then the clothes for tomorrow are handled like this: I have a three foot closet rod, the shirt sleeve gets extended over the pair of pants that is pulled out a little, with the sleeve crossing the pants. They hold each other all night in that position until morning when I grab them-no having to think about what I’m wearing in the morning. I love that.

I also embraced your thoughts that bedtime doesn’t have to start just before bed. Sometime after supper, while watching TV, I will need to go to the necessary, at that time, I change into nighties, or brush my teeth, or whatever I need done in the list before bedtime. Then at actual bedtime, I fall into bed blissfully ready to go. No chores.

Somehow, immediately after supper my energy flags. But later I get a spurt and do up the kitchen very well and start the dishwasher. This sloth also allows me to catch those dishes soaking and late used dishes that always seem to accumulate by those silent dish users. Then the morning is soo clear. Last night, just before turning on the dishwasher, I discovered a tv remote in the sink. I don’t know what sleepy head did that, but I was grateful I was a flybaby with a clean sink for it to be left in.
