Here it is just a few short days till Christmas. We have been thinking about this for over two months now. The only reason the days seem short is because we have procrastinated once again. When we feel like we are running out of time our tempers get short too. Have you noticed this? The more pressure we feel the meaner we get. We let those ugly words and comments take over our mouths and minds and we spew them all over our family. We are supposed to be loving them not filling their heads with bad memories of a what should be a joyous time of year.

I have also noticed that this shortness comes out in your emails. We have been telling you for a couple of weeks the last day to order from our FlyShop. Our FlyCrew works very hard to fill your orders as fast as possible. They do a great job for the other 50 weeks of the year. They deserve to have a couple of weeks off. I know when I get an ugly email from someone who is upset, that they have been procrastinating about telling their family or ordering the tools for gifts. They have been running around like a chicken with their head cut off and have not read any of my messages or the website. They assume that we are going to be open and can ship out at the last minute. This is when they have allowed their SHEness to bite them and they get defensive and bite back at the world. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Let go of your perfectionism and just take care of what needs to be done and quit blaming others when you have procrastinated and the world is not bowing down to help you out! Our SHEness has kept many shipping companies in business over the years.

When you start feeling yourself get stressed out and lashing out; I want you to stop and take a deep breath and be thankful for what you have and quit beating yourself up and those around you! If you have to, bite your tongue to stop you from saying mean things. Speaking softly will help you too. If that doesn’t work then just turn on a tape recorder and then listen to yourself spew out those hateful words.

You set the tone for your home. If you will slow down and enjoy the moment instead of getting mad at the world; it will be a much nicer day and week. Set your timer for 15 minutes and do just a little instead of fussing about how little time you have. You will be so surprised at what you can get done.

The FlyShop will reopen in January. At that time they will fill the orders on a first come first serve basis. So if you have forgotten to place and order; do it now and it will be one of the first shipped out when we get back from our holiday vacation.

You are very creative; make a card or print out a picture of the item and wrap that up if you have too. It is not the end of the world so quit beating yourself up and have fun!
