Dear FlyLady,

I first found your website about 5 years ago.    I tried, I really did, but couldn’t commit myself. For the last 3 years, this slob, has been seeing a neat freak.  This man is always giving me cleaning hints.  You can walk into his house unexpected, and it is as clean as if he knew you were coming.

Because I am in a wheelchair, we usually take my car when we go out.  It used to be a pig sty, but not since Mr Clean came into my life!  My family always comments on how clean my car is.  However, I have not been able to transfer this to my apartment.  It is a pig sty.  I am mortified if someone comes to my door.  Needless to say, Mr Clean is not permitted to just drop by.  I don’t want him to see how I live…it would not be acceptable to him.

Just before the first of the year, I stumbled across your website again.  Maybe it is because of Mr Clean.  Maybe it is because you told me I don’t have to be perfect…everything isn’t going to get clean overnight.  All I know is all I have to do is shine my sink before I go to bed.  I have even gotten out of bed because my dink wasn’t shined!  It’s been two weeks and my sink has been shined EVERY day!  Thank you so much!  My apartment is starting to look clean!

Someday, I know that Mr Clean will be able to stop by unannounced.  I will never have to have him look  around and tell me he can’t live like this!

I feel better about myself.  I no longer feel overwhelmed by all that needs to be done.  As lone as I shine my sink every day, the clutter seems to be disappearing!
