Dear FlyLady,

Like many others I am so grateful for your system but even more thankful that it comes from a real live human being who’s used her experience, strength and hope to help others.

Again, like others, I’ve been fluttering for over a decade, sometimes stationery for a few months or years but then up again with your gentle words whispering, you can do this, you’re not behind, 15, 5, 2 minutes – purple puddles now as I remember when 2 minutes was all I could do for a while and you whispered, that’s ok.

I so want to encourage others to keep reading, keep allowing yourself to be loved and FLYWashed. After falling of the FLY wagon again and again, and again and again getting up to flutter, it’s slowly bubbling out from in me (instead of being words outside me, however kindly expressed) that I can do this. All of it. Gently. Slowly. With consistency and persistence, and your and others’ words urging me on.

I could relate many details but one sparkling truth is clear, FLYCleaning is different to any other cleaning I have or could ever do. When I angry/martyr-clean or adrenaline-fueled crisis clean then I’m left with an angry-martyr, adrenaline clean house and still feel angry, martyred and now, exhausted. But when I FLYClean I feel really good afterwards, and somehow, the house looks a different kind of clean – peaceful, happy.

My logical rational, scientific brain argues that clean is clean but somehow there’s another gentle side grown in me that’s not as disparaging and cynical. I like this new FLYClean. But best of all, I know that if life makes FLYing difficult again for many reasons (or my rebellious toddler/teen self mutinies again) then I can start again. Anytime.
