Hello FlyLady,
I woke up ready to go this morning and decided to deviate a bit from my normal routine. I wanted to get my daughter’s shower clean (since we are about to go on vacation and that is on my list to get done), but I also had a Spin Class I wanted to get to by 9:00. So I decided to “start” the process and work as fast as I could. I started to get overwhelmed when I saw all the scrubbing I needed to do, but just kept remembering your voice saying, “It doesn’t have to be perfect”. Then I kept catching myself getting sidetracked when I saw more things I needed to take care of. Again, heard your voice, “Don’t get sidetracked”.
I had to quit midstream to catch my Spin Class but was proud of myself for making a dent in things. If I wait until “later” I can always come up with an excuse not to do what I planned. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you was that one of the songs we heard in the Spin Class was “Time For Me to Fly” by REO Speedwagon. I just got a big grin on my face, that’s what I was doing already.
