Dear FlyLady,

I’ve been flying for about 4 years or so, and I have my Morning Routine down pat.

After I do my bathroom ‘stuff’ (brushing teeth, etc.), I swipe the mirrors and sink/counter with a 1/2 sheet of paper towel. I then use the towel to wipe down about two squares of floor tile, and the molding associated with it. I do another section the next day. The whole bathroom therefore gets wiped down about 2 weeks or so, including the toilet tank and outside of the bowl. I think it’s great that I never have to really clean the bathroom, because it’s always clean.

Back to the shoes.

Only after I’m dressed and have my makeup on and my hair fixed, do I put on my shoes. My shoes say to me that it’s time to begin the day! Conversely, when I take off my shoes at night, I know it’s OK for me to relax. I don’t have to do any more on my to-do list, because my shoes are off and the day is almost done.

My Evening Routine includes putting out the next day’s clothes, looking at tomorrow’s calendar, showering, putting out clean towels for tomorrow, and then devotions.

I can then go to sleep with a clear conscience!
