Dear FlyLady,

I did not do any decluttering or zone work today. Let me explain. This morning, my husband opened the cupboard door to get a plate. He forgot that I keep my butter dish there. His hand caught the edge of the dish and flipped it. One-half pound of soft butter hit the top of the cupboard shelf, then flew out, bounced on the counter below, then landed on the rug. It bounced again and hit the bare floor about four feet away. The dog came running. She walked through the soft butter. Then she ran into the living room onto the carpeting and jumped up on the sofa to lick her feet.

I won’t detail how I spent my day. I have been flying for a few years, so I know that cleaning up the butter mess in the cupboard, floor and furniture won’t derail me, and tomorrow I will be back on track. Thank you for teaching me to fly. We had a good laugh.
