May Habit #31 Moving in May Before Work

Dear FlyLady,

I’m payroll SHE who recently started working from home. In fact, I started my home-based job at the beginning of May! When I heard that we would be Moving in May, I decided to get my timer and go for a walk every morning before starting work. I call this my “morning commute” and – besides being energizing – it gives me a chance to enjoy fresh air and to clear my head before actually sitting at the computer to do my work.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 17 years ago and I find that stretching and moving – even when I don’t feel like it – helps me feel better. When the weather is bad, I get on my exercise bike and “bike” to work! When I worked in an office, my daily car commute was close to an hour each way, so I certainly don’t mind my new healthy commute.

In fact, now that I think of it, I will be adding a walking “afternoon commute” to the end of my work day. Thank you and all those who work with you to help us FLY. Thanks to you, after just one month, our home went from total CHAOS to having guests over for the first time in over 18 months.

My sink is shiny, my home is looking better than it has in years (with help from your book “Sink Reflections”, a timer, feather duster, and rubba scrubba), and I’ve developed routines for a healthy life!
