I thought the shoe rule didn’t apply to me really.
After all, I get up and go to an office job 5-6 days a week that requires I wear shoes But I’ve turned the “Dressed to the Shoes” rule around and now my rule is to *not take off my shoes when I get home!*
I used to walk in the house and change to slippers as fast as possible. This month I’m keeping my work shoes (comfortable flats or occasionally sneakers on casual Friday) on when I get home and find I get much more done than I ever did in slippers.
I even mentioned it last night to my significant other and he said he’s noticed the same thing…and is keeping his shoes on at night until he’s done with the house/garage chores/projects too!
We’re learning and taking babysteps together.
