Yes, I didn’t make my bed…… only me living here, so who cares?

I sleep under a duvet which I like to air in the morning anyway — and then wouldn’t remember to come back and make it later…… and besides, I have a double bed, and the unoccupied side of it was where the books I was reading before sleeping would accumulate…… and even my laptop……

But — the last time we were in the Bedroom Zone I really cleared the bedside table on ‘my’ side of the bed — and found the shelf full of notebooks, started and never filled, on all sorts of subjects — rather disheartening!

Out they all went, to be looked at some other time, to see if anything needs to be salvaged, or do I just rip out pages and use the notebook for something else….. and in the empty shelf I now have room for what I’m currently reading, and there is also a safe place under the bed for the laptop overnight — so all of a sudden my bed is clear and I CAN make it!

I still don’t manage every day yet, but it’s more often than it used to be, and looks so nice when made   Just that one simple thing, of clearing the bedside table — and the bedroom now usually looks so much better!
