Good day Flylady and Crew,

I’ve been a subscriber and follower for many years.  You helped me gain control of my life while working full time and raising three sons.  The sons are pretty much grown and working through their own struggles and successes now.

The weekend of Mother’s Day ended up not going so well.  Due to various events and some hurt feelings, Sunday started and I knew it was going to be a day full of regular Sunday chores without a son in sight.

But, your constant place in my heart reminded me to face the day with grace instead of martyrdom.  I sent a text message to my DH and 3 DS’s announcing that Mother’s Day was being rescheduled this year to a week later.  I invited everyone up (including my mom) to our house for dinner and dessert.

I ended up having all three sons come up and it was a very enjoyable time with them all.  They all had to run at various times because of their own lives, but the time I had with them is so precious to me.

Thank you for your reminders to be flexible, loving, and to meet our loved ones where they are sometimes instead of always insisting they follow our rigid rules.
