I started off 2017 with the ultimate goal in mind..I wanted to be one of “those” moms. You know the type? The ones that seem to have everything together that they are able to bake cupcakes for the PTA fundraiser. The type of mom whose house is so organized that it looks like their children even help! The mom that would never leave their house in slippers!!

We been living in our house now for a little over two years. Between a husband who goes from hobby to hobby – a 7 year old nephew who has been with us since he was 4 – and an 8 month baby boy, I feel like I spend more time yelling at everyone then actually getting to spend time with them.

I came across your website about two weeks ago! I started off with a shining sink! The simple act of waking up to a clean sink with no dishes starts my day off right! I am no longer trying to be one of “those” moms, I am just trying to be the best mom, wife, and self I can be.

The slow baby steps I have been taking are starting to rub off on the family. Our mornings run better because everyone gets ready at night! I no longer try to declutter and clean the whole house in one day!! I set my timer and try for 15 minutes – but even 5 minutes is better then nothing!!

One of my main goals was our family to start eating together – like at our kitchen table! The kitchen table was a dump site for everything!!! I now have a table we can use to actually eat together!! “A family that eats together stays together.”

Now that I am starting to adjust to my new morning and night routines I and slowly starting decluttering using the zones… it’s not a race anymore … it’s a lifestyle change!!
