Dear Friends,

Many of us are feeling the Christmas Crunch. Don’t get in a panic! You can do this. I know you are trying to juggle several things right now and your head is spinning. I want you to sit down with a cup of something warm to drink and a piece of paper and a pencil.

I’m going to walk you through these last minute things that need to be done. This list is going to help you feel in control. There will be rooms to clean, packages to wrap, Santa items to put together, last minute food to buy, and other food to make.

What is the most pressing thing on you. Write it down. Just the act of writing it down will make you feel better.

Do you need a grocery store run? Can you delegate it? Make a list of what you need to purchase. Be specific because if you delegate that person may be able to read your mind.

1. Do you have cookies for Santa.
2. What’s for breakfast for Christmas Morning
3. What’s for dinner on Christmas Eve.
4. Do you need any fresh vegetables for Christmas Dinner?
5. Is there anything else you need? Toilet Paper, napkins, paper plates.

Do you need to Crisis Clean your home? Your timer is going to keep you focused. Get the family involved. If your home looks pretty good, you may want to do a quick weekly home blessing. Write each one on a piece of paper and make a game. Draw them out of a bowl. Put on some fun music (Christmas Music)! Remember to take breaks!

1. Gather all the trash in the house to throw away.
2. Change the sheets on our beds. Everyone does their own.
3. Feather dust your whole home.
4. Shine the windows and door glass
5. Recycle magazines and catalogs
6. Vacuum floors (just the middles)
7. Quick mop of kitchen and bathroom

Do you have any gifts that need wrapped? Wrap one at a time and then go do something else. Marathon wrapping will wear you out!

You can do this. Pace yourself, don’t become a Christmas Banshee screaming out orders and ruining the holiday celebration for everyone in your family. Put on some Festive music and smile a lot! You really can do this! Your change in attitude is going to be the best gift for you and your family.
