Dear FlyLady,

It was not in the Zone 1, and your message was for Friday, but your message got me motivated to do ‘SOMETHING’  and so  I just now cleared one shelf in my freezer.

For literally years I could not make ice cubes.
My freezer was so chuck full, I hardly knew what is in there.

I can make ice cubes now…, thank you.

I had just kept buying more, and shoving it in the freezer where it would fit, and not using it as fast as I bought.  Maybe this will sound familiar to others.

I was frozen, pun intended,  to clean it, because I paid money for it and felt I would use it sometime.
Sometime took too long to arrive.

I have recently decided I would buy no more meat.   I don’t want to be responsible for killing animals anymore.  I still eat meat about 4 days at lunch because Meals on Wheels does not have veggie meals, yet.  But I no longer buy any meats, except I recently realized what I buy for my cats probably involve this.

I threw out all the meat on that first shelf.  It WAS painful.
It is all out in the rubbish, but I am enjoying being able to see to the back of the freezer for the first time in years, on that first shelf, and seeing what is in there.

I am saving the top shelf for another day,  when I recover from all the money sitting in the rubbish bin.
It’s a lesson for me, in the future I’ll purchase more responsibly, and NOT purchase enough for me to live off of for months!
