Dear FlyLady,

I would like to share with you my experience with the FlyLady calendar.  Last year was my first calendar.  I absolutely fell in love with it. The reminders of our routines to keep and the “presence” of the calendar itself.  My family watched how I was using it (color-coding) for individual family member activities, doctor appointments, purchases, meal planning, etc.  I bought my daughter one for her family, too.  BUT, the reason I want to share is my calendar (s) for 2023.  I bought the large calendar for me (&  my husband…just the two of us in the house now).  He uses the smaller one for his bill paying and record keeping now.  I have been wanting him to do this for years, but knew I could not “make” him.  He loves it.  My daughter has a large calendar for meal planning and all their activities for their family and uses her smaller one to take for appointments, etc.  Her boys (4) and husband look to the calendar to see what they have scheduled for activities and their meals for the day.  (win-win!!)   My daughter-in-law asked me about the calendars and she has two also for her home with my son and baby.  They LOVE it.

Now for my most favorite use of the calendar.  I bought one for my parents.  Large enough to record ALL their MANY doctor visits and I color-coded the entire family birthdays and anniversaries so they would never miss any. (My mom was getting sicker–dialysis) They really, really liked the calendar.  My Mom passed away November 14.  But the calendar……my dad looks to it to stay on top of schedules, birthdays, anniversaries because I already had them written down.  He is using is also to continue recording meals and his appointments.

You will never know how MUCH this calendar means to me.  The connection it has helped me and my dad (I do have siblings) through this difficult time of losing my mom and life is much easier because we were already prepared through having dates written down.

I love everything you have done for all the Flybabies….and I love how you have helped me fly a little better each day.
