October Habit #29 Baby Steps to Clearing Paper Clutter

Dear FlyLady,

Recently I have started to tackle to huge piles of paper clutter around the house! Ugh! I own a scanner and I decided that I was going digital with much of the paperwork that has been bogging me down.

Little by little I am scanning all aspects of my filing cabinets, bins, cabinets, etc, etc. As I scan I insert the image into the appropriate electronic file on my computer. Then I shred or toss I am also scanning my children’s artwork. I trim it down to fit on my flatbed scanner and have a file created for each of them. If I find a piece of artwork to be especially dear to me I will hang it on the wall. Again, I scan and toss if is not going to a grandparent or on the wall for display.

Thank you for all that you do! I am taking babysteps everyday and I feel great about it
