In the past year I found myself living alone after forty odd years of marriage. I no longer have a dog. Much as I would love one, my health and lack of mobility prevent this. After much deliberation I bought a baby budgie (a baby bird). I know its not the same as a dog but he is very amusing and makes me laugh. He has now started to develop bad habits. He is free to fly around my living room just about all day. He perches on top of my blinds and I noticed that he had started to nibble them. The feather duster came into its own. Its ideal to chase him off. It is so soft it won’t hurt him and it gives me some exercise. OK like I said he’s not as good as a dog but every little helps. Thanks for keeping me sane! Hoco
