A Greener Way to Damp/Dust Mop
We all love those special mops that are sold in the grocery and big-box stores with the disposable micro-fiber dust cloths. They are quick to grab and damp mop or use dry to grab the dust, loose dirt and hair on the floor. The biggest problem with those dusters is the expense of the disposable cloths. Not just the repeated expense of purchasing but also the constant waste that is involved. To mop/dust the floor you have to use a new, disposable cloth. We kept looking at these quick mops and thought that there has to be a better way. We ourselves have used these quick mops both the wet and dry variety. How could we do this better? We have had a quick mop manufactured that uses washable micro-fiber cloths!! We are thrilled to have found a better and greener way to bless our homes!
The adjustable mop handle when fully extended is 55 and 1/2 inches long. The mop head is 6 inches wide and 12 inches long. There are clamps on either side of the mop head to hold the micro-fiber cloth in place. The mop comes with 1 micro-fiber cloth. You can use these cloths damp or dry. These cloths have the "friction" feature: when the cloth gets too dirty it will flip up when using it, letting you know you need to change the cloth. If you are using the cloth damp, if it gets too dirty or too dry it will also flip. This mop is not a replacement for a standard broom or a regular wet mop. The FlyLady Mop is to be used as a dry quick mop to grab up hair, lint, dust dirt and as a damp mop for a quick clean up and shine.

Hand wash with dish soap in hot water or machine wash with laundry detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Do not use bleach (bleach will shorten the life of your micro fiber cloths.) Do not use fabric softener (fabric softener leaves a film on the cloths.) Be careful when machine washing or drying in mixed loads (micro fiber cloths will pick up lint from other fabrics.) Air dry or put in dryer on low heat. Colors may bleed during first washing.
